  • What the Chamber Does for You . . . .

    The Chamber of Commerce can help you reach people who may become new clients or customers. As a Chamber member, you will expand your new business contacts by attending regularly scheduled networking activities organized by the Chamber to bring the business community together.

    Networking Opportunities

    • Meet & Mingle -- One of the most popular Chamber programs, once a quarter we visit one of our local restaurant/bars for an after hours networking event hosted by a Chamber Member, providing members with an opportunity to exchange business cards, make new contacts and have a lot of fun.
    • Noontime Knowledge - These are our free training sessions held in the Stagecoach Hall at the Silver Spur resort to provide an opportunity for our members to learn about a new/current topic to help their business
    • Quarterly Luncheons – With different topics each quarter, this is another great way to meet people. Be on of our lunch sponsors and you get 10 minutes to present your business to us.
    • Committee Meetings - Various committees and numerous projects provide avenues for your ideas and leadership. See our committee page for more details

    Annual Membership Meeting

    The Chamber holds their annual meeting at the first quarter luncheon to present our Program of work for the upcoming year.

    Internet Exposure

    Member businesses are listed by category in our online membership directory.  Members have access to their contact information to add text and pictures to the directory, this access will also allow them to post jobs, events, and hot deals or specials.  In addition, each member has an opportunity to submit promotions to be distributed in the weekly news letter emailed out to all of our members. 

    The Chamber website receives numerous visits each week, giving your business exposure to thousands of potential customers over the course of a year.

    Ribbon Cutting

    The Chamber will welcome you with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony and photo opportunity either at your business, or at the Chamber office. Ribbon Cuttings are only held on site for businesses located inside Van Zandt County. For members who do not have store front location, or are located outside of Van Zandt County, we will do a Ribbon Cutting at one of our Quarterly Luncheons, or at the Chamber office. The Chamber has your Ribbon Cutting photo published in the Canton Herald giving your business even more exposure.

    Facebook

    We post an announcement of all new members on our Facebook page. We also create an even on our Facebook page for any scheduled Ribbon Cuttings. 

    Business Referrals

    We refer to member businesses exclusively through walk-in customers, phone calls, and e-mail requests. Your business information is also included in the membership listing on the Chamber website.

    Membership and Community Guide

    The Chamber publishes a printed membership directory annually that is distributed via mail and through our member businesses all around the community. Al members are listed in the guide both alphabetically and by category. Advertising in the guide is offered exclusively to Chamber Members.

    Membership Levels

    Business Members              $200.00 annually

    Firms, partnerships, government entities, corporations, estates, and persons of good standing who are self-employed or holding/running for office. Local Business Members may hold office, have voting rights, and receive all applicable Canton Texas Chamber of Commerce benefits.

     

    Non-Profit Members:            $75.00 annually  

    Any qualified person or organization including all non-profits (such as religious affiliations, educational associations, social and service groups) interested in the civic, commercial, professional, and general welfare of the Canton and Van Zandt trade area.  Non-Profit Members may hold office, have voting rights, and receive all applicable Canton Texas Chamber of Commerce benefits.
